A Christmas on the Buffalo Trail 2015

Stamping Ground’s Christmas celebration on Dec. 12th was a great success!

We had great participation in the parade and a large turnout of spectators. The visit with Santa (at the Ruritan Building) afterwards, was very popular as always.

At 6:30 the Tree Lighting Ceremony started with the Chorus from Stamping Ground Elementary performing several beautiful Christmas songs. Many of the students at SGES had handcrafted ornaments and put them on the tree Friday the 11th. We had delicious hot chocolate to drink and there was also a food vendor present. We enjoyed carols from Roger Barkley, as well.

After the tree was sparkling with lights, the 50+ Christmas Baskets were delivered to recipients by the Stamping Ground Police Department, Stamping Ground Fire Department, and others, (We even did some Christmas Caroling). The distribution of baskets was completed the next day.

It’s very difficult to personally thank so many people who volunteered time and resources to make this event possible lest someone inadvertently be forgot. But you know who you are! Thank you for everything you are doing to make our hometown a very special place to live and raise our children.

Entries for the House Decorating Contest are being accepted through Friday the 18th. Judging will be Saturday the 19th.

We are working on a video of the parade and hope to have it up soon!
