The National Weather Service will be in Stamping Ground this morning to survey damages and determine if yesterday’s storm was actually a tornado.
KU has restored electric but several homes remain without electricity due to damage to the individual services at the home. City Hall is closed today but will be open tomorrow. If you have a concern or are aware of a non-emergency need please don’t hesitate to call. You can also leave messages when prompted. Your call will be returned.
Thank you to Judge Lusby and Scott County for offering assistance. Road crews will be in Stamping Ground next week (depending on the weather) to remove tree limbs placed in front yards beside the streets.
Stamping Ground has two veterans going to Washington D.C. They will have the opportunity to visit the memorials that are dedicated to them and all of their fellow veterans. Lawrence Young is 94 years old and is a WWII veteran and his son Russell, is a Vietnam veteran. We are filled with pride! Thank you both for your service to our country ……and have a wonderful trip!
