Curbside Recycling starts August 7

The City of Stamping Ground is partnering with Rumpke to offer residents more service than ever before with the addition of curbside recycling.

As part of the City’s new contract with Rumpke, all Stamping Ground households will receive an 18 gallon, red Rumpke recycling bin.

Residents should fill it with:

Paper products which includes newspaper and inserts, magazines, phone books, office and school papers, catalogs, brown paper bags, etc.

Aluminum cans

Cardboard and boxboard with packing material removed (do not recycle boxboard that is made to go in the refrigerator or freezer such as soda boxes or frozen meals.)

Empty aerosol cans

Steel food cans (please rinse, the labels can stay on.)

#1 and #2 plastic bottles and jugs

Glass bottles and jars (all colors accepted.)

The recycling container will be emptied on Monday mornings, the same morning that trash will be picked up.

The recyclables will be processed at the Lexington Fayette Urban County Government recycling center in Lexington.
